6 String Cigar Box Guitar
This new Hayley Guitars 6 String is so much more than a Cigar Box Guitar. Its a regular 25.5″ Scale length guitar housed inside a cool Cigar Box. Don’t let its looks fool you, this guitar can truly rock.
With a push/pull volume pot, you can get great single coil sounds as well as great P.A.F. Humbucker tones from the Seymour Duncan Seth Lover pickup. The wood for the neck as well as the body insert is all quarter sawn Elm. I milled up these logs myself several years ago using my Alaskan Chain Saw Mill, so I’ve taken it from log to guitar. You won’t get this material from the lumber yard.
Just because the outside of the body is a Cigar Box, doesn’t mean its going to sound like one. Check out the sound demo below.

This Hayley Guitars Dorian was specially built for the Crimson Guitars Great Guitar Build Off. It features a 25.5" Scale length. Hard Maple Neck with 2 way truss rod with dual carbon fiber reinforcement rods for maximum stability. It has a rosewood fretboard, mahogany body with a Quilted Maple top. This guitar has what I'm calling the Lava Burst finish on the quilted maple. The neck has an oil finish for that natural wood feel, and the body has a water based, high gloss finish to make it shine. This Tonic is made completely from reclaimed pallet wood. The body is made from pine and even has a 1/4" pine top. The 3 piece neck is made from poplar and walnut and the fretboard is also walnut. It has epoxy filled fretboard markers and a filled knot on the top. This makes a nice accent for the satin polyurethane finish. The neck is an oil finish.
